Artisan tool on a piece of textile

Production Philosophy

Hikari designs with a single aim: to let form and function meet in quiet clarity. Using geometric logic and careful subtraction we remove what’s decorative and keep what’s essential. Our pieces respond to light and human scale—simple in silhouette, rich in material.

Just as light transforms a room over the course of a day, Hikari’s designs are meant to evolve with the lives they inhabit, gaining character and resonance over time.

Something we believe in

"Perhaps the ultimate purpose of all these beautiful trees is to become part of a man's environment, to be used and treasured, to outlast the human span, to carry through the centuries the combined efforts of man and nature."
